The Girls

Mayce Grace

After two early miscarriages we were thrilled and terrified to find out we were expecting again.  We enjoyed a picture perfect pregnancy up until 26wks and 2 days when I went into PTL (preterm labor) which the doctors were unable to stop.  Mayce was born weighing 2lbs 7ounces and was immediately transferred half an hour away to a level three nursery.

We were later informed that she experienced both a grade III and a grade IV intraventricular hemorrhage (brain bleeds) during transfer and that she would potentially face a myriad of problems. We were told she might never talk, might never walk, might be blind or deaf, might have cerebral palsy, the list went on and on and on. Thankfully we were COVERED in prayer and surrounded by AMAZING nurses who explained the benefits of Early Childhood Intervention (ECI).  After 66 days we finally got bring her home, exactly one month before her due date.   She was dismissed from physical therapy by the time she was 18mos and speech therapy before she turned 2. Both which we were told would be needed until she was AT LEAST three.

She is now a straight A student in the second grade.  At the ripe age of seven she has a servant's heart and love for reading that I can only hope continues to grow.
She is truly a constant reminder of God's GRACE.

Ansley Faith

Ansley was born at 37wks 1 day after 20 wks of 17p injections.
She weighed 7lbs and .5ounce and was 21.5 inches long.

Our only bump in the road with her pregnancy was a week at the RMHC due to being 80% effaced and 1cm dilated at 36wks.

She is everything you imagine a 4yr old to be...crazy, adorable, and maddening but no matter what she is always a testimony of God's FAITHfulness.
