And then she said....

Ansley has been talking up a storm lately but until last night I couldn't ever catch it on video. Finally, she decided that its not so bad talking to a silver cyclops and the resulting footage is too cute! I guess we won't have to worry about Mayce talking for her after all, she has plenty to say!

Two Peas in a Pod

Buck and I are beginning to see some slight differences...Mayce's nose turns up a little more...Ansley's eyes are a bit rounder. But man, they sure do look alike!

But How...

So once again Mayce illustrated the fact that, in trouble we will be, as she gets older because the child is already smarter than us!!!

On Wednesday night we headed to Baskin Robbins with some friends to take advantage of the 31 cent scoop. Mayce chose rainbow sherbert with rainbow sprinkles and much to my chagrin a large amount ended up on her leg. After finishing we decided it was time to get to bed so we got in the car and the following conversation took place.

Me: Mayce, when we get home you need to put your clothes in the dirties and get ready to take a shower.
Mayce: Why do I need to take a shower?
Buck: Mayce you have ice cream all over your leg.
Mayce: But I don't need to take a shower.
Buck: Mayce look, if you don't take a shower then Savannah is going to come in to your room in the middle of the night and lick all that ice cream off your leg.
Mayce was silent for a moment which we should know by now means trouble.
Mayce: But how is she going to open the door?

BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me that's Dr. Cooler!

When Mayce as about 8 months old Uncle and Auntie surprised with her with a tangible form of the one word that would always make her smile...Hereford. Yes, I know that sounds strange but seriously it's true. Well this cow, who now goes by Annabelle, has been loved on to the point of destruction! Today we finally decided that she was in dire need of some surgical intervention. After analyzing the situation we felt that a face lift, tail prosthesis, leg realignment, and hair transplant were in order. Thankfully, the procedures were a great success and much to Mayce's delight Annabelle even received a brand new halter. Mayce was the epitome of the concerned comrade and after patiently waiting and pacing and waiting and pacing the two friends were reunited again. She looks almost as good as new but I do wonder...should I warn Sophie?
